In order to help people to lift heavy objects an Auxiliary Jacket System is designed. A detailed musculoskeletal model was developed to optimize parameters and evaluate device performance. Results of this model show that the jacket unloads spine muscles and transfers forces to that of shank. EMG signals that recorded during the activity verified results of the model. As a result, this device could help people who suffer low back pain to lift objects easier. This video shows the simulation.
